Fluid Thinking showcases emerging creatives and collectives who are creating thoughtful, expansive works and building community.
It focuses on those who are part of minority groups, especially individuals who are neurodivergent and/ or disabled. We hope to help break up stereotypes and stigmas around minority groups by creating a platform where marginalised individuals decide how they want to be seen by telling their own stories and sharing their own perspectives.
The majority of features and collaborators taking part in this issue of the magazine are marginalised peoples.
The theme for issue 1 is ‘Expanding the way we see ourselves and each other’. This theme encourages the featured artists to present works that allow them to feel seen and share expansive, personal or marginalised experiences.
This aims to be an exercise in building confidence, creating connection and sharing ideas as well as exposing the audiences to artists they may not otherwise engage with.
