SDH Chest Binder Long White

This is a binder that I can confidently say is a better quality gc2b binder, and one I recommend to everyone! Plus, Sock Drawer Heroes is my go to trans gear site - it's accessible, incredibly well stocked and has so many varying options for different lifestyles. It is truly a blessing for Australian trans people! Add in the personalised notes, affordable shipping and the option of after pay? It rivals American trans stores that we all hear about, but can't access.

For this review I want to emphasise that its a comparison between this and gc2b, as it is identical to the gc2b binders cut wise (that I can tell), and the differences is in the materials used. So if you're someone who has issues with the cut, you won't find a different one here, and you will have the same issues. But if you a happy with the gc2b binders, this is an accessible and affordable option!

For reference, I'm around 155cm and a 'saggy' D to DD chest (I've been on hrt for over 5 years, hence the sag from fat redistribution), and chubby but not plus sized. I fit a size large very comfortably.

Quality wise, I have no faults. I would even say that it's better quality. The front panel is a sturdy weave, and grips the skin amazingly without being course or irritating. This means that when I adjust the ole chesticles, they will stay there for so much longer. I will still need to adjust them throughout the day to prevent the dreaded uniboob, but that is excepted for any binder on the market. What I have found is that I adjust FAR less than average.

The back (and shoulder) panels are thicker and denser, but doesn't sacrifice stretch or flexibility at all. The thicker material does mean that there is slightly less breathability, but its only noticeable on super hot days, and even then I'll be sweating like mad regardless.

The outside is smooth and opaque, but not slippery like silk. It's the perfect level for shirts to not get stuck on it imo. The seams are barely visible, and I've actually found that the thicker material helps hide the lines enough that I can wear it without a singlet under my shirt. If you wear one thats especially tight or thin material, you will see the edges. But again, that is on par for most binders anyways.

This binder has meant that I am so much less aware of my chest and silhouette, and is amazing for dysphoria!

Tl;dr - an Australian upgrade to gc2b binders with better quality material and no sacrifices to binding effects!

Have bought other colours of this binder and wanted a pure white for button ups. It's just as amazing as the others and still extremely comfortable. Definitely the best binder I've ever owned!
