SDH Mixtape Body Tape 4"

I get claustrophobic in binders so I was looking for something that would let me bind without full-torso/chest compression - and this tape is perfect! It's my first time using binding tape and I couldn't believe how well it worked.

I am part of the itty bitty titty committee, so I only needed one piece of tape on either side, but the width of the tape is great (I got the 4" one), and the lines on the back make it easy to cut off consistent lengths of tape.

I recommend watching video tutorials from transtape first, especially the one on removing the tape - although I did find that if I lightly moisturise beforehand, it makes it easier to remove, even without oil, but give the moisturiser a minute to sink in first - I did it right before applying the tape and it struggled to stick in some places.

The adhesive is very strong and held for 48 hrs. I did get some irritation at that point, but I do have sensitive skin, so I'm not sure if that's a me thing, or if I just got extra sweaty or something. Either way, it feels great to be able to sculpt my chest how I like and choose how much compression I want, and this tape is excellent for that. Highly recommend!

Also, I got one of the skin tone ones, which does kind of blend in, but it isn't quite the right shade. I haven't tried the colour one I ordered yet, but I like the idea of using it as an accessory and playing with different colours!

Ive got a full length chest binder, but wanted to give the tape a try after I found out you dont need to change it everyday. Got 2 rolls of the 4 inch tape. My skin tends to be a bit sensitive with medical tape, but this has been fine (about a week into using it). I think overall I prefer wearing the binder if I was a really smooth fit, but tape has been brilliant for 'casual' settings. I like that I can wear it when Im exercising etc.

Great value. The tape is discreet and fairly easy to apply once you get used to it. The only downside is that I sometimes get a small patch of rash and the edge of the tape and I’m not sure if that is a reaction to the tape or the skin being stretched because it doesn’t happen every time. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product as it is a welcome relief from using a chest binder which I find hard to use because of the constriction and the eight hour limit per day.
