"THE PEOPLE" by Oliver Vincent Reyes
“THE PEOPLE” is as revealing and political as it is vibrant - the introspective exhibit will take the audience through a full-bodied artistic practice, encompassing self-portraiture, cartoons and powerful connections to queer history. Oliver's work manifests from the perspective of queer individuals and provides the opportunity to portray their full humanity.
Oliver is a freelance creative and community organiser in illustration, graphic design & arts curation. Based on the Central Coast, he enjoys to create experiences of artistic freedom for the Trans and Queer communities; such as ‘Mardi Queer’ and soon-to-launch ‘Trans Impression’.
“Gender Euphoria Looks Good on You” - An Archival Exhibition of Samuel Luke.
Featuring a collection of drawings, prints, comic books, embroidery and quilted works highlighting gender affirming moments in Samuel’s life.
Samuel uses his art to both process and document his gender transition. From early moments of longing for his future body, to his top surgery recovery, exploring his sexuality as a gay trans man, to then reconnecting to his childhood self and finally feeling at ease again.
A collection of work by non-binary artists to celebrate International Non-Binary Peoples Day.
